Tampa Bay Rays Abandon $1.3B Ballpark Plan in St. Petersburg Due to Delays and Uncertainty

(AP) — On Thursday, the Tampa Bay Rays decided to withdraw their involvement. $1.3 billion project To build a new ballpark next to Tropicana Field, they pointed to a hurricane and delays that probably caused the costs of the proposal to increase.
