How a British Parliamentarian Is Using Poutine to Support Canada Amid U.S. Tensions

During a House of Commons session on Wednesday, Liberal Democrat head Ed Davey questioned UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer regarding whether he would confront US President Donald Trump over tariff issues and if he would show support for Canada’s stance.

Starmer briefly mentioned Canada only for a short time.

Former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with Starmer and King Charles, in that order, in March.
Trudeau posted on X He mentioned that they discussed issues crucial to Canadians — particularly Canada’s path as an autonomous and independent nation.
