These include Nova Scotia for scenic routes and whale watching; Portugal known for its beaches, historic castles, and affordable dining options suitable for families; Costa Rica offering zip-lining, animal sightings, and coastal fun; Thailand featuring elephant sanctuaries alongside family-appropriate accommodations; Mexico with Mayan archaeological sites and hands-on ecological parks; as well as Ecuador providing family-centric wildlife expeditions within budget constraints.

For the 18% of Canadian travelers seeking hiking, wildlife, and outdoor activities, they often choose locations such as the Northwest Territories and Yukon for auroras and wild backcountry; Torres del Paine in Chile for multi-day treks amid breathtaking mountainscapes; Vietnam for motorbike trails through lush rice paddies; Madagascar for distinctive fauna, unexplored rainforests, and dramatic vistas; Norway for isolated yet spectacular hikes coupled with scenic boat trips; and Ecuador where one can snorkel among vibrant sea creatures followed by climbs up majestic peaks.
